Description
BOUDIN. RARE LOUIS XV COMMODE with doors and steps. It is veneered with rosewood, violet wood, boxwood and stained wood. It is entirely inlaid with flower vases, flower garlands and musical instruments with scores on the front, top and sides. It opens with 2 doors in the lower section. The top unfolds to form a writing table, revealing 2 pull-outs and 1 glass-backed door for a dressing table. The upper part is stepped with 3 aligned drawers and 3 compartmentalized niches. Superb quality marquetry. Gilded bronze ornamentation. Stamped BOUDIN. Eighteenth century. W.80 D.50 H.101.
