ANVERSOIS CABINET SPECTACULAR in red tortoiseshell, ebony and bone. Architectural shape with cabochons. The front opens into 2 sets of 4 drawers, with 2 wide drawers framing 2 leaves. These 2 leaves reveal a theater-like interior featuring statues framed by columns on a background of geometric marquetry, perspectives and mirrors. These statues slide to reveal a secret of 2x4 drawers. In the belt, a writing tablet modelled on the front marquetry. Attractive base (later) with 6 faceted legs and shafts joined by a double crosspiece. (Restorations). Ep.XVIIè. H.180 L.139 D.56.
