Description
Frédéric FOCHT (1879- 1937)
Allegory of Olympism Antique green patina bronze sculpture featuring a naked man with clenched fists. Signed F FOCHT Early edition cast iron, circa 1925 Height: 76 cm This very rare model is to be compared with "Allégorie de la Vitesse", a bronze in which Focht celebrates the prowess of aviation, with two figures surmounting a globe. It would appear that our bronze by Frédéric Focht, a pupil of Falguière, was the first to appear on the market.
