FAURÉ-LEPAGE - 8 rue de Richelieu, Paris Rare Fauré-Lepage mahogany dueling pistol cassette, adorned with a brass cartouche numbered "BR" under a count's crown. The interior is entirely lined with purplish velvet, with the harquebusier's lid marked in gold. It contains a pair of percussion dueling pistols. The rifled, fluted barrels are bronzed and signed on the upper sides "Fni P Fauré Le Page à Paris". Finely chased locks decorated with foliage and scrolls. Finger rest bridges. Walnut crossbars fully carved with foliage scrolls. And accessories: red copper powder flask with brass measuring spout signed "Lepage à Paris", rosewood-handled screwdriver for dismantling chimneys, mallet, screwdriver for dismantling chimneys, bullet mould, cleaning and tamping rods. Lepage Moutier went into partnership with Henri Fauré in 1865, and died in 1868. Napoleon III period TBE, Rare oxidation Length of pistols: 41.8 cm.
