Officer's flintlock pistol. Round barrel, banded on top, with thunderbolts, with remains of gold decoration, signed "DELETY A PARIS". Lock engraved with a weapon trophy and a wolf, signed en suite "DELETY A PARIS" and flat-bodied swan-neck hammer engraved with foliage. Chased steel fittings engraved with foliage. Later wooden ramrod. Silver counterplate with scroll decoration and profile of King Louis XIV. Silver cap nail decorated with a profile of Athena. Carved walnut stock, decorated with silver wire inlays. Thumbpiece engraved with coat of arms (possibly Le Moine du Fresnoy family). E.M. (Damage and breakage to the stock). Circa 1740.
