Berlin Set of twelve openwork rim plates, three large plates and one round dish in porcelain from the Damaskus service of Kaiser Wilhelm II, decorated in the famille rose style in the center with various specimen flowering plants, the wing decorated with radiating lotus petals on a pink background and three stylized flower reserves in gold. Marked: scepter in blue, K.P.M. on an orb in red, William II's cypher in blue and the dates 1905 and 1906 in blue. Early 20th century. Diameter of dish: 31 cm, large plates: 24 cm and reticulated plates: 23 cm. The first major delivery of the Damas service, including 530 dinner plates, took place on January 26, 1904 at a cost of 9,540 marks. In 1919, the service was removed from the Neue Palais in Potsdam and delivered to Kaiser Wilhelm II's residence in Huis Doorn. After the emperor's death, the service was delivered to Hohenzollern Castle.
