In-8, green morocco, cloisonné and fleuronné ribbed spine, triple gilt fillet framing the covers with gilt coat of arms in the center, filleted edges, wide gilt inner lace, slightly worn green percaline case and folder (Chambolle-Duru 1865). Offprint from the November-December 1864 issue of the Revue historique de droit français et étranger. MAROQUIN WITH THE ARMS OF KING LOUIS II OF BAVIERE, famous among other things for having been Richard Wagner's great patron. The Val d'Orbey, near Colmar in Alsace, was part of the Ribeaupierre seigneury, owned for almost a century by the Dukes of Deux-Ponts, ancestors of the Kings of Bavaria. At the time of publication, the author of the present work was an advisor to the Imperial Court of Colmar. A SUPERB COPY.
