Uecker, Günther (Wendorf 1930). Desert light. Color lithograph from 1986. Signed and dated lower right. 24 x 34 cm; sheet size approx. 53 x 53.5 cm. Framed under passepartout - Uecker studied under Otto Pankok at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, where he has been a teacher himself since 1974. Nails as a means of design are at the center of his work. Uecker's oeuvre encompasses painting, object art, installations, but also stage sets and films - parallel and horizontal lines of varying thickness in yellow, red and orange.
