Cloth hardcover (scuffed) with small hand-written cover plate and tipped-in cover. Contains 33 poems and ballads by the German-Danish genre painter Friedrich Bernhard Westphal (1803-1844) and 10 lithographs after diary drawings, bound in a somewhat smaller format - Published posthumously by Westphal's sister Sophie - Text somewhat browned, illustrations slightly foxed.
