Fotografien Schifffahrt Album

Navy - Collection of approx. 130 (8 color) original photographs with illustrations of shipping. Around 1910-40. loose inserted in new black plastic album (ring binder) - Private collection probably from the possession of the Hamburg captain G. Sievers. Contains pictures of various ships (Monte Olivia, Cläre Hugo Stinnes, Rio Bueno, Rhodopis, etc.), the launching of the 'Tina Onassis' in Hamburg in 1953, the R.C. Rickmers (V) (from 1957) in Hamburg harbor, some pictures of the English steamer 'Hathor' (e.g. in Antofagasta during the war), often with coastal views from the South and Central American region (Buenes Aires, Antofagasta, San Antonio, Arica, Mollendo (Peru), San Salvador, also Trontheim, Scilly Island), also a Red Cross excursion of the German colony in Chile, frozen launches in the winter of 1940 at the Holzbrücke guard station in Hamburg, numerous portraits of the captain as well as of the crew and guests. Format of the photographs 9 x 6 cm to 13 x 17.5 cm. Partly inscribed and dated (by hand) on verso - Including 1 glass plate negative (portrait of G. Sievers).
