Manuscript from around 1780: Collection of odes and songs by Mr. [Christian Michael] Wolff. [and:] Mixed collection of odes, songs, romances and ballads compiled from new poets. Title, 58 pp., 2 white leaves, title, 1 white leaf, 151, 13 pp., 21 white leaves. Marbled cloth d. Zt. w. Clean manuscript in German Kurrent script, title in red calligraphy, each page framed in red - Contemporary name stamp on the first title 'P.I.von Bandemer', probably from the family of Major von Bandemer, who married the later writer Susanne von Bandemer, née von Frencklin (1751 - 1828) in 1766.

Collection of Odes by Sheikh Zakaiy, revered master of the Halvati Sufi brotherhood Ink, polychrome pigments and gold on paper, bound in stamped and gilded green leather. Turkey, early 19th century, Ottoman Empire H. 21 cm - W. 14 cm - D. 1 cm AR This collection opens with an illuminated frontispiece decorated with floral rinceaux on a gold background. The text, written in black and red ink, is mostly laid out in a tangle of cartouches bordered by gold fillets. The body of the text features memorial dates from 1209 AH to 1227 AH.
