This pair of vintage c1980 winter long sleeve dresses were designed for a Mrs. Epstein who we are told was the wife of a Halston CEO. The same dress comes in 2 versions: 1 fine charcoal grey wool with black buttons, and 1 textured black fabric (content unknown) with black inverted crystal buttons. As well as a black belt that is interchangeable for both pieces. The dresses feature a tailored silhouette with padded shoulders, a high round neck, 2 front pockets, and a unique curved front button closure design. Both dresses are lined in black silk. Laying flat the dress measures: shoulders 13'', bust 18'', waist 14'', sleeve 21.5'', length 37''. Also included is the original sketch, fabric swatches, and paper pattern pieces.
