Original illustration created by Pratt in 1982 for "On the trail of Corto," a set of images in which the Master of Malamocco outlines distant landscapes and men in uniform, reminiscences of his childhood in the Horn of Africa, in search of that meeting between cultures that have so marked his work. This illustration was published in the volume "Periplus Imaginary" on page 160 by the Lizard in 2005.
