Ø40mm, approx. 52g, 18k gold, very elaborately enamelled, wonderful paillone technique, signed verge movement, signed enamel dial, pink gold hands, intact, verge watch of high quality and by a renowned Parisian maker. Daniel Vaucher was born in Fleurier and moved to Paris in 1760, where he became a master watchmaker. His wife and six children remained in Fleurier and later moved to Paris. Jonas-Frédéric Vaucher, Jean-Henri-David Vaucher, François Vaucher, Jean-Jacques Vaucher, Samuel Vaucher and daughter Isabelle-Salomé Vaucher became watchmakers. Outstanding watches from this family were usually signed 'Vauchez en la Cité'.
