Collection of paintings after Wu Guanzhong, China, 20th century Set of nine paintings preceded by a colophon. Ink and polychrome on paper, depicting traditional Chinese landscapes with dwellings, pavilions, mountains and lakes. On the colophon the inscription: 藝林清雨 / 歲在戊辰之春 / 廣安寫於燕郊 俗翁題, Yì lín qīng yǔ Suì zài wù chén zhī chūn Guǎng'ān xiě yú yān jiāo sú wēng tí, "Spring Year of the Year of the Earth Dragon. Written in Yanjiao, Guang'an by a common man". Cyclic date which would correspond to 1988. The cover is in polychrome silk, on which is glued a beige paper label with the inscription: 仿吳冠中先生凰景画, Fǎng Wú Guànzhōng xiānshēng huáng jǐng huà, which can be translated into French as: "Imitation of Fenghuan landscapes by Mr. Wu Guanzhong". This suggests that the album contains paintings that were created using inspiration from the style or landscapes created by the famous artist Wu Guanzhong (1919-2010). 30.5 x 23 cm
