Copper-alloy covered tripod incense burner, China, 17th century Of ding form, inspired by archaic bronzes, the openwork lid with three scrolls is finely engraved with foliage and flowers. The body, adorned with a similar motif, is surmounted by a neck decorated with a frieze of molded Grecians, surmounted by a frieze of engraved lingzhi mushroom heads. The three feet are surmounted by lion heads, mouths open. Wooden base in the shape of three interconnected lingzhi mushroom heads. Height: 27 cm Wooden base.
