Large Chinese white porcelain Guanyin, China, Dehua, 18th century Seated, holding a child, with her right leg bent and her left leg dangling in a position known as vamardhaparya?ka. On one side of her throne, a bottle of lustral water on her right, a scroll and sutra books on her left. At his feet, his two acolytes LongNü, holding the Pearl of Light, and ShanCai TonZi, hands in adoration. Between them, on a terrace, a lotus flower surrounded by two facing dragons.
