Description

CECILE LARHER ICI ET NULLE PART AILLEURS, AMSTERDAM, 2022 Signed and numbered 6/20 Fine Art print Framed with riser Atelier Fotodart 40 X 50 cm Gift of the artist Cécile Larher is a photographer based in Marseille. From her childhood on the coast of Brittany, she retains a strong attachment to the sea and its eternal dance with light. She also retains its gentleness, mingled with a certain melancholy, the origin of which she is still searching for. She worked in marketing and fashion before becoming a photographer. From this other life, she keeps the need to tell stories that transport and capsize. It was in 2019 that she fell in love with the discipline of photography through her silver-based practice, more in line with her slow, contemplative nature. Convinced of the need to reinvent our relationship with time, she persists in revealing the different nuances that make up our daily lives. She signs her work The Cecilium, a pseudonym that has long enabled this introverted teenager, constantly oscillating between the quest for anonymity and that for recognition, to express herself more freely.
