Lot including: - White batiste dress, trimmed with lace and plumetis at the neckline and sleeves, fastened with a ribbon. Red thread mark with imperial crown surmounting the number 4. First Empire period. H. 54 cm. - White batiste cap, fastened with two ribbons. First Empire period. L. 20 cm. Provenance - Napoleon II (François Joseph), son of Emperor Napoleon and Empress Marie-Louise of Austria, born in Paris on March 20, 1811, received the title of King of Rome at birth. - Madame de Montesquiou, governess to the King of Rome, then by descent. - Beaussant-Lefèvre sale, May 22, 2013, lot 116 for the dress (part of the lot) and lot 114 for the bonnet (part of the lot). - Private collection, Paris.
