Jean-Patrick Capdevielle (born 19 December 1945) is a French composer, songwriter, singer, musician and painter. With a mix of American and British influences, Capdevielle's work is classified through his strident voice and suburban accent. Many of his lyrics are based on anarchist and visionary concepts, with beats based on the club scenes of 1960s London and 1970s New York. The Stargazers are a British rock and roll band. The group became known in the UK for their interpretations of 1950s rock and roll. Offering a mixture of original songs, arranged standards and cover versions of 1950s hits, particularly those of Bill Haley & His Comets, after which the group freely shaped their appearance and performance style. The rock and roll scene of the 1970s was dominated by a typically Teddy Boy-dressed crowd, who were generally devotees of Crazy Cavan's aggressive electric rockabilly. The Stargazers sought what they considered to be a more accurate and authentic mid-fifties sound and look.
