SAARINEN Eero (1910-1961) - KNOLL INTERNATIONAL Editor Tulip" coffee table with circular top in grey-veined, chamfered white marble on a central foot in white-lacquered cast aluminum. Unmarked early edition (scratches, wear, stains). Height 38.5 cm x Diam. 91.5 cm Born in 1910, Eeero Saarinen is the son of renowned Finnish architect Eliel Saarinen. He worked alongside him as an architect and designer. He made a name for himself collaborating with the KNOLL interior design company, notably with the creation of the "Tulip" chair, and as an architect participated in the design of the Yale University buildings and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis.
