[Manuscript Qur'an] Late 19th-century Maghrebian Qur'an, 612 pages, text in black ink within a triple fillet of red, blue and gold, and illuminated with marginal rosettes in pink and green on a gold background. The titles of the suras are in cartouches with a gold background. The manuscript begins with a double-page illuminated frontispiece entirely set in gold, with painted floral decoration, and ends with a colophon set in gold. Bound in full leather with oriental-style flap, decorated boards, spine cracked, one flap detached. Size 15cm.
