AN 18TH CENTURY WALNUT AND MARQUETRY INLAID ARM CHAIR the vase shaped solid back splat with flower spray inlays below a matching scroll carved rounded top rail and shaped openwork frame fronted by crook flattened arm rests enclosing an upholstered loose seat and raised on cabriole front legs joined by turned understretchers and a shaped foot rail - bears Giles Grendy journeyman's stamp to back rail so probably from his workshop. (100.5cm high 56cm across legs) In good originial condition with no breaks or major repairs. The arms are slightly loose on the joints. All the marquetry is present.
