Two flower still lifes and one fruit still life. - Ernst Bursche (1907-1989) was a master student of Otto Dix in Dresden from 1930 and a member of the Dresden Secession from 1932. After the National Socialists seized power, he was initially imprisoned and his art was defamed as "degenerate". After moving from the GDR to the FRG in 1962, he spent time in Düsseldorf and on the island of Ischia. - Sheets somewhat browned and with handling marks, the corners and edges slightly rubbed, each with pinholes in the corners, one sheet with a small loss in the lower right corner.
