Andreas Brandt (1935-2016) studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Berlin under Ernst Schumacher. Restricting himself to straight lines or stripes on monochrome backgrounds, Brandt was one of the most radical representatives of Concrete Art. - Canvas finely wavy and somewhat darker within the stretcher, with occasional minor soiling and rubbing.
