August Walla (1936-2001) was an Austrian artist. He first received inpatient psychiatric treatment at the age of 16, where he remained until he was 20. 16 years later, when his mother fell ill, he was admitted to a psychiatric ward again. Walla worked as a draughtsman, painter and photographer from a very early age and painted numerous god-like creatures, among other things. He is considered one of the most versatile artists of so-called Art Brut. - Almost completely mounted on backing, somewhat rubbed, the corners and edges stronger.
