Bauhaus - Dieckmann, Erich. Partial estate of the Bauhaus teacher with a total of approx. 260 items, including approx. 70 loose original photographs and 1 album with approx. 145 mounted original photographs, correspondence etc. Ca. 1920-1944. The photographs (approx. 5 x 7 cm to 17 x 23 cm) mostly show the Dieckmanns' private life: she as a young dancer, the children, the couple in a Dieckmann armchair, etc. - An unsigned sheet (in Dieckmann's hand?) with pencil sketches of 12 designs for Dieckmann-typical cantilever chairs. - Small original watercolor (approx. 7 x 10 cm) by Dieckmann's hand. - Postcard inscribed on both sides to Katharina Dieckmann, 1.11.1922, with small pen and ink drawing of a smoking frog. - 2 cards and 2 letters, 1921-1944 from Gerhard Marcks to Dieckmann. - 8 letters and 1 card from Hans and Peter Poelzig, 1930-1936: among other things, Hans Poelzig promises to support him after Dieckmann's dismissal, "of course ... I will support you with all my strength ... I will pass on your case to an office that is in contact with Göring from time to time." (Letter dated 13.12.1933). - Only minor traces of age and storage. - Provenance: A small part of the estate remained with the family at the time, including this material. VAT: #
