Castle library - remaining holdings of the Juel family library at Valdemars Slot. Approx. 700 printed works in 800 volumes as well as 4 anthologies with approx. 100 dissertations. Many German, but also English, French and Danish printing locations, 1569-1897 (focus on the 17th/18th century). Formats from duodecimo to folio. Mostly leather and half-leather bindings of the period with rich spine gilt, some parchment volumes (some worming and other signs of age).
