Somewhat later blue paperback (somewhat rubbed, corners a little bumped). Title edition of the work published by Köllner in Basel in 1768. - Cf. Barth 32751, Lonchamp 3058 and Fürst III, 459 (incorrect: "1769"). - To this day, the most important chronicle of Jews and Judaism in Switzerland between the 13th century and 1762. - The author was the Zurich theologian and pastor Johann Caspar Ulrich (1705-1768), who "was in contact with the Jewish communities of Lengnau and Endingen and dealt with the problems of Judaism with a neutrality that was remarkable for his time." (Historical Dictionary of Switzerland 040718,8). - The beautiful engravings show the synagogues in Lengnau and Endingen as well as the Jewish cemetery between the two towns. - Only slightly browned in places.
