Contemporary leather binding with gilt-stamped spine title (somewhat rubbed and warped, frayed capitals, upper part with loss). First edition, published posthumously by the son. - Published several times from 1701 in folio and with engravings under the title "Die alten jüdischen Heiligthümer". - Back endpaper inscribed with a contemporary chapter index. - Faint waterstains almost throughout, mostly at head, some sheets browned, occasional wormholes at foot (extended to aisle with slight loss of letters on approx. 40 pp.), but overall a clean copy.
