Judaica - Lundius, Johannes. Public service of the ancient Hebrews, in which is described how the daily morning and evening sacrifice is brought, the Sabbath, the feast of the new moons, and the annual festivals are celebrated ... now brought to light for the benefit of lovers of Jewish antiquities (by Thomas Lundius). Schlewig, L. Eckstorff for G. Liebernickel in Hamburg, 1695. 8 pp., 1424 p. 16 x 9.5 cm. Contemporary leather binding with gilt-stamped spine title (somewhat rubbed and warped, frayed capitals, upper part with loss). First edition, published posthumously by the son. - Published several times from 1701 in folio and with engravings under the title "Die alten jüdischen Heiligthümer". - Back endpaper inscribed with a contemporary chapter index. - Faint waterstains almost throughout, mostly at head, some sheets browned, occasional wormholes at foot (extended to aisle with slight loss of letters on approx. 40 pp.), but overall a clean copy.
