First edition. - Tischner 76 - Wurzbach I, 410 - Engelmann, Bibliotheca Medico-Chirurgica 24 - The first independent publication on homeopathy, a fairly balanced but ultimately dismissive survey of the new medical teachings of Samuel Hahnemann, who first published the "Organon der Heilkunst" (2nd edition 1819) in 1810. Bischoff praises Hahnemann for his earlier achievements and also confirms the accuracy of his research, but opposes his results and conclusions. "The thing that weighs most heavily on his heart is that Hahnemann did not perform phlebotomies for pneumonia."
