GEORGIAN BURL YEW WOOD TEA CADDY, 19TH CENTURY the case of rectangular form, of yew veneer with satinwood stringing to borders, diamond-shaped wood escutcheon and oval metal small swing loop handle on navette-shaped plaque to lid, the interior lined with red velvet, and fitted with a pair of rectangular matching caddies of yew wood and satinwood stringing, on either side of fitted round etched glass pedestal mixing bowl with silverplated shell bowl caddy scoop 6 x 11 1/2 x 6 in. (15.2 x 29.2 x 15.2 cm.) Overall, very good condition. Some lifting of veneer to body. Caddies both lined with zinc paper, and bowl fits perfectly. Perhaps previously had legs?
