Description

Attributed to Jacques LE NANTEC (born 1940). Young African woman. Sculpture in black and silver patina resin. Height Height : 184 cm Note: Born in Nantes, France, Jacques Le Nantec abandoned his initial training as an architect for sculpture, turning away from his early productions in the classical style in 1973, when he moved to Macau with his wife. From then on, he devoted most of his time to exploring his perception of feminine sensuality and mystery, which he translated into his mastery of polybronze (a material combining bronze shot and resin), through which he worked on curves and poses, combining eroticism and exoticism in his works, as is the case in L'Esclave, the model to which our sculpture is closely related.
