A mixed lot, comprising: a 19th century Dutch sauce tureen and cover, 1842, rectangular bellied form, and two silver-handled knives, plus a metalware small dish, and old Sheffield and electroplated items: a pair of plates, a sugar bowl and cover two cream jugs and other items, approx. weighable 15oz. (qty) Provenance: from the collection of Charles William Martin, 1850-96, of Quorn Place, Leicestershire. In 1886, Martin founded the Quorn Ranch Company in Alberta, Canada, one of the most famous British North American ranches, importing British horses and Angus cattle to the area.
