A George III silver argyle, by Abraham Peterson & Peter Podio, London 1788, vase form, beaded borders, the pull-off cover with a ball finial, scroll handle, the interior with a tapering heating compartment with a pull-off cover, on a square base, engraved with crests, height 19.2cm, approx. weight 16.2oz.
