A William IV silver snuff box, by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1834, rectangular form, scroll foliate borders, the hinged cover with a raised scene of Mazeppa tied down to the back of a horse riding through a forest scene, reeded sides and engine-turned base with a vacant cartouche, with a fitted box, length 8.3cm approx. weight 6oz.
