H. 0.98 x W. 0.87 m The bride and groom, adorned with their respective attributes, hold hands in the presence of a shepherd. The engagement scene precedes that of the bridal procession. This is a moralistic tapestry aimed at a wealthy Flemish clientele. One example is in the Musée d'art et d'histoire de Saint-Lô (Bruges, 4th quarter 16th - 1st third 17th century). It has preserved its bright colors and the borders are missing. It is in good condition, with some wear.
