Amsterdam, c. 1680. 36 x 45.5 cm (60 x 48.5 cm). Mounted in dots on support, framed under glass. The large copper engraving depicting the use of new fire hoses after Jan van der Heyden and Jan van d. J. Above two cartouches with the title in Dutch and French. Below the large depiction with four small depictions of fires in houses and on a ship as well as a model of the pump. A legend inserted between them and below the depiction with text again in both Dutch and French. - With several smoothed centerfolds, somewhat (finger)stained in the margins. Overall in very good condition. Fire fighting - broadsheet with large copper engraved ill. and 2 woodcut initials.
