GILDED CHASUBLE. 19th century. Background fabric: moiré gold drapes. Orphreys bordered by gold braid alternating palms and roses, embroidered with red roses, stylized mauve peonies and polychrome silk thread foliage. Cruciform back orfroi centered on a representation of the Lamb with the seven radiant seals. Yellow oilcloth lining. Patches, tears, mildew. Provenance: Canon Hamard.
