Cylindrical form, with two compartments and basket handle, in imitation tortoiseshell wood with mother-of-pearl inlay decoration of a processional scene on the lid, flowers, butterflies and birds on the rims and handle. With brass elements.

Provenance : Former collection of Ông Nguyễn Văn Hai (1875-1940) governor of Gò Công in Cochinchina, great-grandfather of the current owners, and passed down through descendants.
