HISTORY - STANISLAS I King of Poland (1677 - 1766) - Document signed
Well-educated, well-trained in literature and science. He spoke Polish, German, Italian, French and Latin. He was King of Poland and the father of Louis XV's future wife. Under the Treaty of Vienna, he received the duchies of Lorraine and Bar. Nicknamed the "Benefactor", he brought to the court of Lorraine a lustre envied throughout Europe. Accidentally burned, he died at the end of a long agony. Document signed, dated Lunéville, 26 août 1751. Luneville, 26.08.1751. Letter of decision for Pierre Genaudon merchant in Bar and his wife Claude, widow Damien. Of which the petition, 2 p. In-folio, is attached. The petition relates to extortions obtained from the petitioner, during her minority, by her first husband.
