HISTORY - STANISLAS I King of Poland (1677 - 1766) - Document signed

Well-educated, well-trained in literature and science. He spoke Polish, German, Italian, French and Latin. He was King of Poland and the father of Louis XV's future wife. Under the Treaty of Vienna, he received the duchies of Lorraine and Bar. Nicknamed the "Benefactor", he brought to the court of Lorraine a lustre envied throughout Europe.
