One of Napoleon's most loyal marshals, even though he never spared him criticism. In 1804, Napoleon elevated him to the rank of Marshal of the Empire. Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor. Signed document. "Lannes", as General commands in chief the Guard of the Consuls, also by generals Caffarelli Du Falga and Doguerau, Paris, 8 Vendémiaire Year IX (September 30, 1800), I p. in oblong folio, in printed head of the Cavalry of the Consular Guard, text partly printed, black wet stamp. Beautiful, extremely rare piece. Disability leave for Jean, Hugues Chapeau, gunner of the Garde light artillery company, former guide of General Bonaparte.
