HISTORY - [LOUIS-PHILIPPE I] (1773 - 1850) - Autograph letter signed

Autograph Letter Signed with its initials to the famous lawyer and statesman André Dupin, member of the French Academy; this Monday at 6 p.m., 1 p.m. 1/3 in-8°. A long autograph report by Dupin entitled "Constitutional Reflections on Articles 30 and 31 of the Charter" 3 pp. has been attached. 1/2 large in-4°, erasures and corrections. Beautiful piece. The king thanks Dupin for the interesting paper he entrusted to him; the subject has been treated ". with this force of logic and this clarity of expression which characterize your writings I have not allowed myself any other observation than that of suggesting a slight modification of the penultimate sentence, in order not to have seems to presuppose a constant union with a party, because it is precisely this which could give rise to concern..." Louis-Philippe, after rereading his proposed modification, announces that he is renouncing it because he considers that it's worthless. The point is very delicate because this is where the problem lies on both sides, etc. Dupin's report is very interesting with regard to the princes of the Royal Family.
