Gilded brass embossed rectangular belt plate for an officer in the regiment of the Comte de Provence, the future Louis XVIII, with rounded corners, edged with a double fillet, the royal coat of arms in the center, surmounted by a princely crown, on a background of flags and a cross, in chased and gilded brass, this motif applied to the background; 65.5 x 109 mm. Circa 1770/1789. Very good condition
