Award hunting dagger, silver-plated brass hilt, "S"-shaped quillons chased with a deer foot, keyboard chased with two hunting bodies and a stag's head, cap in the shape of a feline's head with a return adorned with a medallion surrounded by pearls, horn spindle ; yatagan-type blade with a strong throat etched with trophies and foliage; chagrin-covered scabbard with two silver-plated brass fittings, back of cap engraved: "Gd Collège Stanislas - 1ère Section - 2ème Prix d'Armes - Mr Jouart - 1869 - Profr Mr Bertrand", buckle entirely embossed on both sides with foliage and foliate scrolls, stinger in the form of a fluted button; length 67 cm. (Slight damage to the leather at the tip). Second Empire period. Very good condition, needs cleaning
