DE SEDE. A set at eight dining chairs, model DS-203. Legs, armrests, back and seat covered with black leather. Stamped De Sede in leather and underclothing with logo. Minor marks of use. Based in Klingnau, located in northern Switzerland near the German border, the De Sede company has been producing high-end furniture since the 1960s, when it began collaborating with international designers to create premium handmade leather chairs, lounges and sofas. Over the years, De Sede's product offering has expanded to include tables, beds and other furniture. Generous proportions balanced by elegant shapes characterise De Sede furniture. PAUL McCOBB (Medford, Massachusetts, 1917 - 1969) for Winchendon "Planner Group". Rare combination of a green and black McCobb Cabinet on a white McCobb Bench. Maple wood. In very good condition with some lacquer chipping. Measurements: 87 x 156 x 46 cm. This set formed by McCobb Cabinet green and black on a white McCobb Bench is distinguished by its timeless elegance and functional simplicity, basic characteristics of McCobb's creative language. Paul McCobb was a self-taught designer particularly interested in perspective and scale whose creations were distinguished by the use of simple forms, fine lines and a marked lightness. He was a strong advocate of the importance of accessible and affordable design, so he worked with manufacturers to develop modern furniture solutions that were accessible to the average consumer. In 1945 he founded his own firm, Paul McCobb Design Associates, and began designing furniture for manufacturers such as Winchendon Furniture Company, H. Sacks & Sons and Directional Furniture. Among his most famous designs were the Planner Group collection for Winchendon Furniture, which included blond wood bookcases, desks and chairs, and the Irwin collection for Calvin Furniture, featuring chrome-plated metal and glass furniture.

CARLO DE CARLI (Italy, 1910-1999), for Fiarm Coat rack and umbrella stand set, ca.1960s. White wood. In good condition, shows signs of wear due to the passage of time. Measurements: 178 x 40 x 40 cm. (coat rack). 56 x 28 x 28 x 28 cm (umbrella stand). Set consisting of rotating coat rack and umbrella stand. In this design of the sixties published by Fiarm, De Carli puts in dialogue the full and empty, the balls in dark wood and the filiform fretwork. After turning to architecture in the 1950s, De Carli began to focus on furniture design, creating elegant and modern pieces for the most prestigious Italian manufacturers, such as Cassina and Tecno. He also worked on interior design projects for public and private buildings, such as apartments, hotels and offices. De Carli's style is characterized by understated elegance, simplicity and attention to detail. Throughout his career, De Carli received numerous awards and distinctions for his work, including the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1955 and 1960. Today, his furniture and interior architecture projects are considered emblematic examples of modern Italian design.
