Paris, Beauvais aîné, [imprimerie de Duverger,] 1835. The bankruptcy of Balzac's printing house was declared on February 5, 1828; Balzac was appointed liquidator. He sent his resignation to the Ministry of the Interior on August 14, 1828. From Volume II onwards, the Corps du droit français was printed by Louis Duverger (see Corr. Pl I, nos. 28-47). Volume IV covers the period July 1830 to 1833, in a period binding, blue half-calf, spine decorated with gilt and cold fleurons, in the same style as the first two volumes.
