This edition of the OEuvres de Ducis comprised 8 small volumes. The first 3 were printed by J.-L. Bellemain; the next 5 by H. Balzac. The print run was 4,000 copies. Not referenced by Hanotaux and Vicaire. Bound in contemporary midnight blue half calf, smooth spine with 5 faux-nerfs of gilt fillets, untrimmed. Some brown spots. (Tranchida, 25-43). A good copy. [Enclosed] Alfred de Wailly, Nouveau vocabulaire français où l'on a suivi l'orthographe adoptée pour la prochaine édition du dictionnaire de l'académie. Paris, Rémont, [Imprimerie de H. Balzac,] 1827. Fort In-8, 958p. Publisher's full calf binding, very tired. Usual work with a print run of 15,000 copies, by far the largest edition for a book printed by Balzac (Volney, the second largest edition, had a print run of "only" 6,000 copies).
