MARSEILLE. SAINT-JEAN-DU-DÉSERT ? Pair of round, plain-edged earthenware trays on pedestals, decorated in blue monochrome, with a central coat of arms within a double shield supported by two lions standing under a marquis crown. The edges of the tray and pedestal are decorated with a frieze of foliage and foliage. Late 17th Early 18th century H. 9 x D. 26 cm. H. 9.6 x D. 25.5 cm. Chipped edges, small scratches in the enamel. The arms are those of Nicolas de Bais-Damas, Marquis de Digoine (1680-1747), chevalier, baron de Digoine and Barbe-Michelle Le Robert de Grangemont (1683-1740) vicomtesse de Mably.
