MESOPOTAMIAN NECKLACE WITH AN AKKADIAN LAPIS LAZULI CYLINDER SEAL

Ca. 2334 - 2154 BC. A fine Mesopotamian necklace composed from polygonal lapis lazuli and gold decorated with filigree beads. The blue and gold hues alternate across the composition and are connected with an Akkadian cylinder seal depicting a griffin with gold terminals.
